Code of Conduct
Winchester Worth Fighting For, Inc. Code of Conduct
I. Purpose
Winchester Worth Fighting For, Inc. (“WWFF”) is committed to maintaining safe, respectful, and inclusive environments in all WWFF-organized spaces. This Code of Conduct establishes expectations for behavior when individuals participate in activities, meetings, events, or communications conducted under the WWFF name.
II. Scope of Policy
This policy applies to conduct occurring within WWFF-organized or WWFF-endorsed spaces, including in-person events, virtual meetings, online platforms, and any activity presented as being sponsored by WWFF.
This policy does not govern or monitor members’ personal political activity, advocacy, or activism undertaken as private individuals. Members are free to engage in any activism of their choosing provided they do not present such activity as being conducted on behalf of WWFF.
WWFF does not police, evaluate, or report members’ independent activities. The organization is responsible only for conduct occurring under its own name.
III. Expectations for Conduct in WWFF Spaces
- All participants in WWFF-organized spaces are expected to:
- Treat others with respect, dignity, and good faith.
- Contribute to an environment that is welcoming and inclusive.
- Refrain from harassment, intimidation, or discriminatory behavior.
- Avoid presenting personal statements, actions, or activism as representing WWFF unless expressly authorized.
IV. Clarification Regarding Independent Activism
WWFF recognizes that members may engage in a wide range of advocacy strategies outside of WWFF activities. Members are free to engage in any activism on their own time, as long as they do not present those activities as being done on behalf of WWFF.
Members engaging in such activities must ensure they do not imply WWFF sponsorship or endorsement unless explicitly authorized.
V. Representation of the Organization
WWFF’s name, branding, and implied endorsement may not be used in personal activism, political activity, or public statements without prior authorization from the Board or designated officers. This protects both the organization and its members while preserving the autonomy of individuals to pursue their own advocacy.
VI. Reporting Concerns Within WWFF Spaces
Concerns regarding conduct within WWFF-organized spaces may be reported to the Board or designated officers. Reports will be handled respectfully, promptly, and with appropriate confidentiality. Concerns regarding members’ private activism fall outside the scope of this policy.
VII. Administration of the Policy
The Board of Directors is responsible for interpreting and administering this policy. The Board may amend this policy as needed to support WWFF’s mission, ensure organizational safety, and maintain compliance with applicable laws.
